Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format. Files in other formats, such as PDF, will not be processed to the next stage.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The author has read the author guidelines and followed the template provided by JPTPD.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- References and in-text citations must follow the 7th edition of APA citation style. Authors are advised to refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition, 2020) at http://www.apastyle.org/. The editorial team recommends using Mendeley for writing references.
- Ensure that the manuscript is the author’s original scholarly work and contains no more than 20% plagiarism as checked by TURNITIN.
