Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines for the Journal of Pedagogical and Teacher Professional Development

Please feel free to edit these templates to suit your needs. Below, you will find the writing guidelines for further details. We encourage you to review the templates provided above to get a better understanding of the format and requirements. Your adherence to these guidelines will help ensure a smooth submission process.

1. Manuscript Format

  • Language: Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English. For English articles, only an English abstract is required.
  • Page Limit: The manuscript should be between 10-20 pages, including references.
  • Paper Size: Use A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
  • Font: All text should be in Bookman Old Style, size 10, single-spaced, except for the title (16-point bold), author names (12-point), and headings.
  • Sections:
    1. Title
    2. Author Information (names, institutions, and corresponding author's email)
    3. Abstract (100-170 words)
    4. Keywords (3-5 words)
    5. Introduction
    6. Method
    7. Results and Discussion
    8. Conclusion and Suggestions
    9. Acknowledgments
    10. References

2. Title and Author Information

  • Title: Use capitalized, bold text, with a maximum of 17 words. The title should reflect the content of the manuscript.
  • Author Names: Write full names without abbreviations. For multiple affiliations, use superscripts after the name to indicate the institution.
  • Corresponding Author: Indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk and provide the email address.

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: Provide an abstract that is self-explanatory, summarizing the problem, methodology, results, and conclusion. Avoid citations, abbreviations, and complex formulas.
  • Keywords: List 3-5 relevant keywords, separated by commas, which will assist in indexing your article.

4. Structure of Articles

  • Research Articles: Should contain the following sections:
    • Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, References.
  • Review Articles: Should contain:
    • Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Main Sections, Summary, References.

5. Figures and Tables

  • Figures: Place images within the text and provide captions below them. Images should have a line width of 1 pt and be of high quality.

  • Tables: Place table captions above the tables, and avoid vertical lines. Use horizontal lines for clarity, and ensure the table contents are easily readable.

6. Equations and Formulas

  • Formulas should be written separately from the text and numbered sequentially. Use Microsoft Equation to prepare formulas.

7. References

  • Format: Use APA 7th edition style for citations and references.
  • Software: Use reference management tools like Mendeley.
  • Content: Include at least 10 journal references from the last 5 years.

8. Submission and Publication

  • Submissions are reviewed by a panel of experts and must follow all guidelines strictly.
  • The timeline for processing includes:
    • Received date
    • Revised date
    • Accepted date
    • Published date
